Lynn Young has been working as an artist since 2006.  Her work reflects her love for where she lives, close to home in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, or her regular visits to her other favourite part of the world - Cornwall.  Living on the Island makes it hard not to be influenced by the beautiful surroundings and ever changing land/seascapes of our shores.  She likes to work from memory from absorbed images.

 

"No day ever seems to look or feel the same, so I try to capture some of these special moments in colour and movement. I tend to work mainly in acrylic and mixed media, using iridescent colours to add depth and an element of surprise in my work, changing their appearance when you look at them in different lights and angles. I am currently creating abstract sea and landscapes.
