About
The Picture House Gallery, Padstow opened in 2000 and is now owned by local artist Sara Holden, who previously managed the gallery 2002 - 2007; also popping back to help out over the years until taking ownership of the gallery in 2019.

Sara strives to maintain the original concept of the gallery (established by Roger Cadwallader), to promote artists who's work is very individual in style. The emphasis has always been on vibrant colours and often unusual quirky styles that add towards a bright and positive atmosphere in the gallery.
The artists represented are mostly UK based, working in a variety of media such as acrylic, oil paint, fused glass, textiles and ceramics. Many of which have been exhibiting with the Picture House from the beginning, which has resulted in lots of friendships and happy working relationships made along the way. Not to mention, many lovely regular customers who having filled their walls with beautiful artworks still pop in for a chat!
Those regular visitors, will know that Sara has been painting in her trademark 'Swirling' style for many years now. Her characterful seascapes and landscapes are very much influenced by her surroundings in Cornwall. Link to her page for more examples including a wide range of Limited Edition Prints in the Print Shop.
Sara is assisted in the daily running of the gallery by another local artist Sharon Jiggins. Sharon is a textile artist - her beautiful silk paintings can be seen in the gallery along with a selection of hand painted greetings cards and small mounted originals.
